Shrī guṛū charan saroj raj, nij manu mukuṛū sudhāri

Barnauñ Raghubar bimal jasu, jo dāyaku phal chāri

Having cleansed the mirror of my mind with the dust from the lotus feet of my Guru, I sing the pure glories of Lord Ram-Chandra, who bestows the four fruits of life: religion, wealth, pleasure and liberation

Budḍhi hīn tanu jānike, sumirauñ Pavan Kumār

Bal budḍhi vidhyā dehu mohi, harahu kalesh bikār

Taking myself to be without intelligence, I meditate on the Son of Wind, praying for Him to give me strength, wisdom and knowledge, and remove all my blemishes

Jay Hanumān gnān gun sāgar, jay kapīs tihuñ lok ujāgar

Hail Hanumanji, ocean of knowledge and good qualities. Hail the Lord of the Monkey’s, whose fame echoes through the three worlds

Rām dūt atulit bal dhāmā, Añjani putra pavan sut nāmā

You, the divine messenger of Shri Ram, with immeasurable strength are Anjani’s son, known as the Son of Wind

Mahābīr bikram Bajrañgī, kumati nivār sumati ke sañgī

O Hanumanji, you have unlimited courage and strength, you are the destroyer of ignorance and the companion of wisdom

Kañchan baran birāj subesā, kānan kuñḍal kuñchit kesā

Your complexion is golden, your hair is curly and you wear earrings

Hāth bajra aur dhvajā birājai, kāñdhe mūñj janeu sājai

In one hand you hold the divine weapon, in the other a flag. Your shoulder is decorated with the holy thread

Shañkar suvan Kesrī nandan, tej pratāp mahā jag bañdan

You are the [11th Rudra] avtar of Lord Shiva and son of Shri Kesari, your great ability is known all over the world

Vidhyāvān gunī ati chātur, Rām kāj karibe ko ātur

You have the greatest wealth of divine knowledge and are virtuous and intelligent/wise, always ready to serve Lord Ram

Prabhu charitra sunibe ko rasiyā, Rām Lakhan Sītā man basiyā

Your greatest pleasure is listening to Lord Ram’s stories. Ram, Lakshman and Sita always reside in your heart

Sūkshma ṛūp dharī Siyahiñ dikhāvā, bikaṭ ṛūp dharī Lañkā jalāvā

You appeared before Sita in a very small form, you burned Lanka with a terrifying form

Bhīm ṛūp dhari asur sañhāre, Rāmchañdra ke kāj sañvāre

You killed demons with a gigantic form, in this way you always served Lord Ram

Lāy sajīvan Lakhan jīyāye, Shrī Raghubīr harshi ur lāye

You brought the medicinal herb to revive Lakshman; overcome with joy Shri Ram embraced you

Raghupati kīnhī bahut baḍāi, Tum mam priy Bharat hi sam bhāi

Shri Ram said with much fervour that He loves you as much as His own brother Bharat

Sahas badan Tumharo jas gāvaiñ, as kahi srīpati kañṭh lagāvaiñ

Embracing you, Shri Ram blessed you thus, “let Seshnag with his thousand tongues sing your glories”

Sankādik Brahmādi Munīsā, Nārad Shārad sahit ahīsā

Even Sanak and other Muni’s, Narad and Sharad fail to completely describe your glories

Yam Kuber Digpāl jahāñ te, kabi kobid kahi sake kahāñ te

Even Yam, Kuber, the Lords of the directions, poets and sages are incapable of fully describing your glories

Tum upkār Sugrīvhiñ kīnhā, Rām milāy rājpad dīnhā

You introduced Sugriv to Shri Ram, who installed him as king

Tumhro mañtra Bibhīshan mānā, Lañkeshvar bhaye sab jag jānā

By following your advice, Vibhishan became the king of Lanka – this is known to everyone

Yug sahastra yojan par bhānū, līlyo tāhi madhur fal jānū

You gulped the sun from a great distance, taking it for a ripe fruit

Prabhu muḍrikā meli mukh māhīñ, jaldhi lāñdhi gaye acharaj nāhīñ

Carrying the Lord’s ring in your mouth you crossed the ocean, there’s no wonder in that

Durgam kāj jagat ke jete, sugam anugrah Tumhre te te

With your grace, even the world’s most impossible tasks become easy

Rām duāre Tum rakhvāre, hot na āgnā binuñ paisāre

You always guard the door of Shri Ram, without your permission no one can enter

Sab sukh lahai Tumhārī sarnā, Tum rachchhak kāhū ko ḍarnā

By taking shelter in you, all the joys of life are obtained, and under your protection one has nothing to fear

Āpan tej samhāro āpai, tīnoñ lok hañk teñ kam̃pai

Your radiance is supreme; the three worlds tremble when you roar

Bhūt pisāch nikaṭ nahiñ āvai, Mahābīr jab nām sunāvai

By repeating your name, ghosts and demons don’t dare to come near

Nāsai rog harai sab pīrā, japat nirañtar Hanumañt bīrā

All diseases and sufferings are destroyed by the constant repetition of your name, the entire pain disappears

Sañkaṭ teñ Hanumān chhuḍāvai, man kram bachan dhyān jo lāvai

One who meditates on you with mind, deed, words and prayer is saved from all difficulties

Sab par Rām tapasvī rājā, tin ke kāj sakal Tum sājā

Shri Ram is the Lord of yoga, and all your actions are dedicated to Him

Aur manorath jo koi lāvai, soi amit jīvan fal pāvai

Anyone who comes to you, you fulfill there desires by granting them eternal nectar

Chāroñ yug partāp Tumhārā, hai parsidḍh jagat ujiyārā

In all four ages, you are famous for your power & talents, your glories are spread all over the universe

Sādhu sañt ke Tum rakhvāre, asur nikañdan Rām dulāre

You protect the saints and sages, you destroy the demons and you are Shri Ram’s beloved

Asht sidḍhi nao nidhi ke dātā, as bar dīn Jānkī mātā

Mother Sita blessed you with the power to grant the eight spiritual perfections and the nine material prosperities as per your choice

Rām rasāyan Tumhare pāsā, sadā raho Raghupati ke dāsā

Shri Ram gave you the power of devotion, always remaining as His servant

Tumhāre bhajan Rām ko pāvai, janam janam ke duhkh bisarāvai

By meditating on you, one reaches Lord Ram and eliminates the sufferings of many lifetimes

Añtkāl Raghubar pur jāi, jahāñ janma haribhakt kahāi

After death your devotee will reach the abode of Shri Ram, where he will always remain a devotee of the Lord

Aur Devtā chit na dhari, Hanumañt sei sarv sukh kari

You need not hold any other Demi-God in mind, Hanumanji will give all happiness

Sañkaṭ kaṭai mīṭai sab pīrā, jo sumirai Hanumañt balbīrā

By remembering you, all sufferings disappear

Jai jai jai Hanumān goñsāi, kripā karhu guṛūdev kī nāñi

Hail, hail, hail to Lord Hanuman! Bless me in the capacity of my Guru

Jo sat bār pāṭh kare koi, chhūṭhi bañdi mahā sukh hoi

By repeating this mantra one hundred times, one is liberated from all problems and obtains unlimited happiness

Jo yah paḍhai Hanumān Chālīsā, hoy sidḍhi sākhī gaurīsā

One who recites this song regularly obtains all their goals as Lord Shiva witnesses

Tulsīdās sadā Hari cherā, kījai Nāth hrday mañh ḍerā

Tulsidas, the eternal servant of the Lord, prays “O Lord, may you always reside in my heart”

Pavantanay sañkaṭ haran, mañgal mūrti ṛūp

Rām Lakhan Sītā sahit, hrday basahu sur bhūp

O Son of Wind, you destroy all difficulties, your form is all-auspicious.  Always reside in my heart with Ram, Lakshman and Sita

Sīyāvar Rām Chañḍra kī jai!

Pavan Sut Hanumān kī jai!

Umāpati Mahādev kī jai!

Hail Lord Ram, husband to Sita!

Hail Lord Hanuman son of the wind!

Hail Lord Shiva, husband of Uma!
