Kirtans
Akshardham No Marg is a book of selected kirtans that I transliterated in 2011 and a collection of two music albums produced in 2011 & 2013 respectively. The aim is to give satsangi’s access to specific Updesh Kirtans with inspiring lyrics that act as philosophical guidance and remind us that our time here is temporary and our actions have consequences. One can choose to listen to and sing-along to part of the collection.
Mañglācharaṇ / મંગલાચરણ
As with any religious endeavours, we begin with mañglācharaṇ– to meditate on the Lord, here I quote the great poet Nishkulānañd Svāmī from Bhaktchintāmaṇi
Mañgal mūrti Mahā Prabhu, Shrī Sahajānañd sukh ṛūp;
Bhakti-Dharm sut Shrī Hari, samṛūñ sadāy anup.
Param krupālu chho Tame, Shrī Krushṇa sarvādhīsh;
Pratham Tamne praṇamuñ, namuñ vāramvār huñ shīsh.
મંગલમૂર્તિ મહાપ્રભુ, શ્રી સહજાનંદ સુખરુપ;
ભક્તિધર્મસુત શ્રીહરિ, સમરૂં સદાય અનુપ.
પરમ કૃપાળુ છો તમે, શ્રીકૃષ્ણ સર્વાધીશ;
પ્રથમ તમને પ્રણમું નમું વારંવાર હું શીશ
